Holland + Justin | Durango, Colorado Wedding
This was a special wedding for me not only because Holly and Justin are friends of mine, but also since Holly’s family is so close with my wife’s family. Holly continues to be my number one fan and I love her for it. The Blue Lake Ranch wedding was planned and designed by Aspen event planner Elizabeth Slossberg with EKS Events. Celebrated violinist Bobby Yang played unique, beautiful and sometimes surprisingly upbeat music. Jan Schill and Christopher Capozziello assisted with the photography.

SHANNON + DAN | CARMEL, CALIFORNIA WEDDING
When I found out that Shannon was a circus acrobat I knew that I wanted to photograph her wedding. It was at Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch and planned by Rsvp Event Design and Coordination. San Diego photographer Ed Atrero helped me with the photography. A touching and unique detail to this event was all of the children’s books that were displayed on each table and later donated. Here’s a quote from one of my favorite children’s authors that was also on display: “I will not play tug o’ war. I’d rather play hug o’ war. Where everyone hugs instead of tugs, where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug, where everyone kisses, and everyone grins, and everyone cuddles, and everyone wins.” -Shel Silverstein.

La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art
La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art is ideal for small weddings and couples looking for an outdoor venue with ocean views and access to some of San Diego’s best wedding portrait spots. La Jolla cove offers white sandy beaches, crashing waves, ocean cliffs, caves, sunsets and stunning scenery.

Downtown San Diego
With our city’s wonderful weather, beaches, major attractions and beautiful bay, downtown San Diego is a romantic place to visit and has a huge array of wedding options. It’s also a fun place to be a photographer. Weddings on yachts in the bay, in the Gaslamp Quarter and in Balboa Park are truly unique to San Diego.

AMY + DAVID | CAPE COD WEDDING
Thankfully, wedding crasher Hurricane Irene failed to ruin Amy and David’s wedding at the Chattam Bars Inn on Cape Cod. Due to fog and drizzle, the ceremony was moved from the beach to an indoor venue, but otherwise the party went on unfazed. However Irene did make flying out of Boston impossible for most of us for several days following the wedding.
