Samantha + Daniel | San Miguel De Allende Wedding

Sam and Dani’s wedding was an amazing weekend in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico during Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead.) The Civil Ceremony and rehearsal dinner, which to me was wedding number one, was at the spectacular Casa Hyder. Samantha got ready at Casa Novum close to the Jardin and the wedding ceremony and reception were both at San Joaquin. I felt like I was in the right crowd with this wedding since the couple and many of their guests are photographers and filmmakers. Chris + Tanya | Calistoga, CA Wedding

For one reason or another, I get lucky almost every year and get to come back to Solage Calistoga Hotel and Luxury Resort. It’s a Napa Valley getaway and high-end wedding venue that I always love shooting at. If you’re wondering where the wine cave photos were taken, they were photographed at Clos Pegase vineyard during the rehearsal dinner. This place is also remarkable and has an amazing art collection (we were all given a tour of the art pieces before dinner). It’s perfect for rehearsal dinners but limited for weddings because of certain guidelines.

Chris and Tanya are obviously so photogenic but they were also just so delightful to work with. One of my favorite moments of the day was borrowing one of the resort’s convertible Mercedes. We drove on a dirt road up a mountain in a vineyard for portraits during gorgeous light. This was a scene any wedding photographer would love.
