CYNTHIA + ERIC | VAIL, COLORADO WEDDING
Colorado mountain weather in August is obviously unpredictable and often brings severe afternoon thunderstorms. Rain or shine, I am there to document what happens and am not particularly invested in concerns for weather. For Eric and Cynthia’s delayed ceremony, the weather actually made the light and mountain-top scene more beautiful, dramatic and exciting. I captured this event with my friend Kent Meireis. Kent worked for many years as a respected staff photographer for the Denver Post, a position I used to once dream of having myself.

Brett, I love the photo of the officiant getting her mic ready. You are so good at the un-obvious. Moments that few would even register as storytelling moments.

I actually gasped aloud when I saw the ceremony shot with the incredible view. I also couldn’t possibly love the opening portrait any more. Your work is so pure and beautiful. Always excited to see a new post by you.
