Marcela + Josh | Zacatecas, Mexico Wedding
This beautiful mountain city is known for few gringos and the bullring that was converted into the luxury Hotel Quinta Real. It’s open air circle, filled with candles, was an inspiring space for a wedding reception. The ceremony was in the ruins at Museo Rafael Coronel. I met Marcela at more than one wedding in Mexico before her and Josh decided on this little-known place. Their wedding planner, Mari Carmen De Alba, took time out of her insanely busy day to drive us around town to scout portrait locations the day before the wedding. An unexpected surprise on this trip was finding new friendships with Karla and Gabo of Red Carpet Films. I’ll never forget partying in the mine shaft at El Eden, riding the tram above town, Marcela’s infectious enthusiasm and their low light, multi-faith ceremony full of vibrant colors.

Breathtaking. Blue on the dance floor… soaring views… risk-taking vantages are why I love this set!
