MEREDITH & DANIEL | SAN MIGUEL, MEXICO WEDDING
San Miguel has become a favorite place of mine, so finally getting to shoot a wedding here was really exciting. Meredith and Daniel’s Shaman wedding ceremony was not only incredibly unique and spiritual, but very emotional and extremely photogenic. The ceremony and reception took place at Casa Schuck. The event was planned by Meengan and Guadalupe at Penzi Weddings and Events. They are incredible at what they do but also spoiled me during my entire stay. One of the most magical moments of the day was when the wedding party paraded through the cobble stone streets drinking a total of eight bottles of tequila. Wow! What a fantastic wedding! The ceremony photos are iconic. As always, I love seeing you step back from the action and show context. Especially during the parade. That would be hard to shoot, but you continually ran ahead, got high, anticipated framing. How did you get that shot of them on the street alone from up high? Is that a portrait? Otherwise, you must have sprinted! :)

The whole series in the street is spectacular– the couple from the back in B&W, through the car windows with the woman smoking, the view from above, fantastic photojournalism Brett!
